Follow the below steps to download video from youtube using vlc media player :
Step 1:
Download and install vlc media player. Click here to download vlc media player
Step 2:
Open vlc media player go media->Open Network Stream
Step 3:
Now a window will open as screenshot. Enter here the URL of youtube video that you want to download then click on play.
Step 4:
Go to Tools->Codec Information, Now a window will be open as screenshot and copy the link from location.
Step 5:
Open a browser and paste above copied link in address bar then video will start playing and now right click on video then a context menu will appear as screenshot. Click here on Save video as
Step 6:
Now Save as popup window will be open as screenshot. Put the file name in with “.mp4″ extension (For Example: video.mp4) and click on save then video downloading will be started.
